Why Is My Urine So Foamy Without Any Sign Of Protein?

I ve been under a great deal of stress lately and have been urinating quite frequently (10+ times a day), and have noticed that over half the time the urine is very foamy. I ve had 3 urine analysis done in the last week (one by a urologist) and they found NO trace of protein in the urine. One of the tests did find a trace of microscopic blood, but that was it. I m confused as to why my urine would be so foamy without any signs of protein.

Hello,

The urine may be foamy because of crystals present there and bacteria. You can try to have more liquids and water. Use more cranberry juice or tea to make it less foamy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
