Why Is There An Extra Growth Of Skin In The Vagina?

I am 40, have only had sex with husband of 16 years. he was virgin when we met. I have jsut noticed 2 pieces of skin about 1 cm long, 2-3 mm wide, rectangular in shape o n inside of labia minora. No pain, or discolouration. Appears to be same skin type as clitoris etc. I am otherwise perfectly healthy. Clean pap last year.Definitely did not have them last yer when I looked with a mirror! What is this??

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query.Your problem is most likely a Vaginal polyp. It is better to rule out that by showing a gynecologist. It is usually harmless. But if you are experiencing any discomfort or pain while intercourse then can get it excised surgically and send for histopathological examination.Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further query.
