Will Pantocid And Ofloxtoz Cure Vomitings And Diarrhea Due To Bacterial Infection?

My daughter is in Asia. She started vomiting about ten times over two days. The vomiting stopped but then she went through2 days of diarrhea. She went to a doctor in the town that listened to her stomach and then sent her off with 2 1meds. Pantocid D and Ofloxtoz. He said it s probably a bacterial infection from the water or fruit or something. Do these meds sound appropriate.

Hi... Your daughter is suffering from acute gastroenteritis. Over 90% of acute darrhea is caused by infection. so the doctor has rightly given ofloxacin to cover for bacterial infection and ornidazole for protozoal infection. so, i would recommend,
1. complete full 5 day course of antibiotics.
2. can add a pro-biotic with doctors advise
3.make sure she is well hydrated with ORS and fluids.
