Will Calamine Lotion Reduce Side Effects Of A Itchy Skin Rash

I am a 45 yr female, healthy, have devolped a rash under my left armpit, started out as a big red rash, have been applying calamine lotion and stopped shaving and using deoderant, since then it has turned somewhat purple and brown and feels scabby, was not itchy before but is itchy now , seems to have also gone down in size

Hi,

You can continue with calamine lotion. Also take antihistaminic like tablet chlorpheniramine maleate 4 mg once or twice daily depending on the intensity of itching.
