Will Exercise And Diet Control Help To Reduce Weight?

Hello I am over 300 pounds I have been working out for a month 7 days a week(30min a day or 1hr when I can)in my home on an elliptical machine and bike I have purchased. I have been eating a low calorie diet about 1200 calories a day. No soda or sugars. No eating anything out the box and have been making fruit smoothies and some days with a little protein shake mix added. More greens on my plate and vegetables. I can see a little difference in my body already but my question is do you think I am over working my body in exercise and am I guaranteed weight loss if I keep at things the way I am doing them? Do you recommend that I do something else to add or take away from my daily routine.

Hello!
Thank you for writing to us. Congratulations you are on a good track. Don't worry, you aren't overworking your body. You are doing just fine. Don't forget to eat proteins. They are the main source for muscle growth. If you add weight training it would be better. Try to eat a high protein diet with cheese, egg, cottage cheese, milk chicken, fish and less carbohydrates such as bread, rice, cookies, spaghetti, desserts.
Beat regards.
