Will Metformin Hydrochloride Regularize My Periods?

Hi sir, i have pcos n main symptom is irregular period. i haven`t got my period for 5 months before april of the year then i was concerned to a doctor and i was confirmed with pcos then i start using medicines which have suggested by my doctor. i got my period back. i`m 24 years old n a single. my doctor suggested a tablet named MEPRATE for 7 days (B,D), i used it n i have got heavy flow for seven days. when i went for the check up again she suggested me to have Metformin 500mg as well as PRIMOLUT N. i used them but that was lesser than i have ever had in my period. and this time when i get consulted for the next suggestions, she only refer metformin hydrochloride i.e. no more tablet on getting period. my question is nothing,but can you see anything like unusual suggestions of the doctor?
