My period was late by two months. My doctore gave me mefigest to start the bleeding. After two days, bleeding started and then stopped. After one week when dr. Checked again, uterine line had not shed properly despite taking mefigest. Can it happen? And why?

Hello,
Please confirm with your doctor if a pregnancy test was done before prescribing the medication. If pregnancy was confirmed, the medication may not have been sufficient. Also, if a trans-vaginal sonogram was done at the time, a gestation sac would be located along with the age of the pregnancy. If pregnancy is excluded, hormone profile should be done and proper replacement given to set the cycles back on track. Please maintain a healthy weight and a healthy diet. Hope this helps.
