Hi, I Noticed Swelling On Inside Of Ankle Bone Sunday

hi, i noticed swelling on inside of ankle bone sunday night, it wasnt painful to walk on, but was very tender. i havnt had a fall or banged it in any way. today i noticed it fellt very hot to touch, it has spread to other side of foot. there is also now some sort of red rash and it has become itchy!!, swelling seems to be getting worse. ps i noticed scaly itchy marks conistent with schorisis, wich i have only had mildly. i was also diagnosed with ashtma about 18mnths ago.

Hi,

Thank you for your query.

As you have not mentioned your age and history of any other illness it is very difficult to given a specific guidance for your problem. If you are also running fever then you need to consult a doctor to rule out infection of the ankle joint which can be painful, and red. Appropriate investigations shall be done and thereafter a course of antibiotic will have to be given if it is proved to be ankle joint infection.

This may be an exacerbation of Psoriasis.
It is very unlikely to any condition involving the bone and the joint.

Before taking many medication consult your dermatologist.
