How To Get Rid Of Pigmentation On Skin Surrounding A Boil After It Had Burst?

Hi... I had a boil on my back. I dipped some cotton in undiluted dettol and covered the boil with the cotton and applied plaster to keep it in place. I left it overnight. When I woke up in the morning I saw that the boil had burst. But the skin around the area had darkened in colour. Will this be permanent? Is there any way to make the pigmentation go away? Please advise.

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this black pigmentation. For now, there is no need to get worried about it. It should definitely fade out over time and make you feel better. If it should fail to, then we may consider aggressive measures to address it. For now, there is just no reason to panic or get aggressive at it. Just considerate and get the boil fully healed.

I hope this addresses your query fully. Thank you so much for using our services and please feel free to ask for clarifications if need be. I wish you the best of health.
