Three Month Old Baby Having Black Veins Under The Tongue. Is This Normal?
I have a three month old baby boy. He is average weight and height for his age group. I noticed that the veins under his tounge are black, and he has been coughing at night. This problem has not caused any form of prohibitation in his daily activities. Until I saw the black veins, I would have never guessed any thing was out of the ordinary. Can you please tell me your diagnosis?
The veins under the tongue are bluish black in all individuals.
Do not worry about that.
If the cough at night is persistent, please visit your doctor to rule out any reflux that is causing the cough. If he has a cold too, it might be the nasal block and the post nasal drip that causes the cough at night. Saline nasal drops will be useful in such a case.
