Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,thank you for your query in HCM.Your 2 year old child is suffering from diarrhea for the past 5 weeks and the stool is smelly, blood and stool tests being normal. Please get the stool tested for LACTOSE INTOLERENCE and if it is positive you have to avoid milk for 4-6 weeks but you can give rice based diet and also curd. Please rule out giardiasis and amebiasis by repeating the tests.
