7 Month Old Having A Bump On The Head After Being Hit. Need Medical Attention?

My 7 month old was moving from sitting to her tummy, & she pitched forward & hit her head on a small plastic toy. There s a red spot above her eyebrow, & there s a small bump forming. She s not acting any differently, fussed/cried for a few minutes after it happened, then went back to playing. Should I call her pediatrician?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi there
Its always better that a specialist sees the part. some issues like possibility of fracture or internal bleed can at times be missed by parents and even doctors too. The bump forming is like a bruise with blood collection inside.. which may trickle around eyelids and may give a black eye that may last for few days.

do keep a watch on danger signs of head trauma like say disturbances of sleep, behaviour, consciousness, feeding, bleeding and convulsions.
thanks
