Hi,I am Neethu Vipin (Dietitian & Nutritionist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i am49y old w a uterine myoma 5cm and heavy bleeding , i had ablation done 2 y ago but it was effective only one year , i don,t want another operation asi am almost menopausing, i am140 lb my BMI=23, and i am healthy, can i try HCG injection for WL?how it could effect on my Myoma?
Oh please do not get these injections and yes it may have an effect on your myoma. Human Chorionic Gonadotropin is a hormone produced during pregnancy. Companies that sell it in the U.S. are breaking the law. The severe daily calorie restriction that the HCG diet calls for is so restrictive that it puts the user at risk for gallstone formation, irregular heart rhythm (can cause stroke), and an imbalance of electrolytes.
Side effects: fatigue, irritability, depression, restlessness, fluid build up and blood clots. The best bet for weight loss is the healthy one. If you need a referral, let me know and I can refer you to a dietitian or e clinic for help. Thank you for coming to HCM for some guidance and direction. I hope I have been helpful.
