Can Hot Sauce Lead To Abdominal Pain And Emesis?

my 13 year old grandson likes hot sauce. while staying with step granfather my grandson developed abdominal pain and threw up. they, step grand-parents, said his emesis had undigested food and told my daughter he was eating too much hot sauce and really making unnecessary drama. then after he threw up he was okay and then they wanted him to spend the night. needless to say my daughter came right over to pick him up thereby avoiding more drama, lectures, judging, etc. my question in can hot sauce lead to abdominal pain and n/v? doesn't most emesis have undigested food and smell? it was supposedly really awful smelly. I can hardly believe these people and one of them is an rn.
