Can The Antidepressant, Sertraline, Cause Allergic Itchy Hives?

TAKING SERTRALINE FOR ABOUT 4 YEAR NOW. WHEN I TAKE IT I GET A RASH ALL OVER MY BODY. RIGHT NOW LOOKING FOR A NEW PSYCHIATRY. PSYCHIATRY MOVE OUT OF TOWN. WAS TAKING 50 MG NOW AM TAKING100MG FOR ABOUT 7 month I talk to the doctor about the rash he said it not the medication but when I take the medication I start itchy hives.

If you are getting itchy hives only after you take Sertraline. Then it can be related to the drug. Do not stop the drug abruptly.
Please consult another psychiatrist and get assessed. If the hives are due to the drug, then alternatives like fluoxetine can be initiated. Any change in medication should be done under psychiatrist advice only.
