Can Warfarin Cause Bad Skin Rash On Face, arm And Upper Body?

I have been on wafarin for 8 years following a DVT in my leg. I have recently developed a bad skin rash on my face and arms and upper body, since being exposed to the sun a few days ago. Could this be related to warfarin and should I be concerned? What you can you recommend to block the allergy? thanks Liz

Hi
Thanks for your query.
Warfarin can cause bad skin rash but rare after 8 years on it without prior history. this may be an allergic reaction to something else. You can take over the counter antiallergics to alleviate the symptoms and also consult a dermatologist for proper diagnosis.
Hope this helps.
Regards
