Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Child With Continuous Headaches, Sharp Chest Pains, Ear Pressure, Itchy Throat, Hot Flashes, All Tests Clear, Diagnosed As Stress. Suggestion?
My 10 year old daughter has had headaches as long as she can remember. She says it also feels queasy in her head & chest. She also has sharp pains in chest & sinuses at times, pressure in ears, throat itching, hot flashes, tons of mucus . She has had eyes checked, ct scan , mri, allergy testing. All were clear (except ragweed). She has ocular migraines at times. We ve been to so many specialists & all we are told is it is stress. Could it be anything else?
I can understand your dilemma. With the description provided by you I do not have anything to add after all the examinations and investigaions have come out to be normal. You need to discuss with your daughter what is troubling her which may be with peers or at school or something else. She may not come out in a straight forward manner and you may even have to seek the help of her school psychologist.
I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.
