Could The Abdomen Bloating Be Related To Septoplasty Surgery?

I recently had septoplasty surgery & 4 days post-op, I developed jaundice. My docs & I determined it was from an allergic reaction the ATB. I then developed stomach bloating with constipation, looking like I'm 4 mos. pregnant. Could the two incidents be related? My stomach has been bloated for approx. 3 weeks. My original surgery was Jan 28. Thank you for your input.

Hello,

Just please check it out for any hepatitis or obstructive jaundice. If gallbladder pathology like cholecystitis or cholangitis may give abdominal bloating. Gastritis or peptic ulcer disease may also give bloat. Check your liver function tests and ultrasound abdomen. Please consult your gastroenterologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
