Do Fibroids Affect Pregnancy?

I have been irregular my whole life. i am almost 23 and recently diagnosed with PCOS and i have 2 small fibroids. how will this effect my ablility to still have children and what are the risks. Do i need to get myself regular or will that only make the fibroids worse going through that process.

Hi,
Indeed, the association of PCOD and uterine fibroids increases the risk of infertility, but, please remember, PCOD is one of those conditions that responds very well to proper management and small fibroids, especially the subserous ones, are not a hindrance to conception. Concentrate first on correction of the hormonal defect and this also helps sometimes in spontaneous regression of the fibroids. Please see a specialist for proper evaluation and further management. Also, please maintain a healthy weight, regular exercise and a proper diet. Hope this helps.
