Hi,

Tugain 5% solution contains minoxidil which belongs to a class of drugs known as vasodilators is used to promote hair growth after hereditary hair loss such as male pattern baldness. It can prevent further hair loss and help hair to regrow. It is generally safe and suitable for most people but may have some potential side effects. The most common are itching and irritation of the scalp and unwanted hair growth on face, change the colour and texture of your hair and skin etc.

This medication can cause a serious symptoms of allergic reactions like itching, rashes, swelling of face, tongue, lips or throat, breathing difficulties, dizziness etc. Antihistamines are the treatment of choice in this regards. Stop the intake of this medication and inform your doctor immediately. He may change this medication and choose the best medication for you instead of it.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
