Frequent Urination And Not Able To Withstand Even For A While. Which Doctor To Consult And What Are My Options?

I am a healthy 70 year old female, uterus was removed, who has trouble holding my urine, but only when I have the urge like drinking lots of water, a cola (within 45 min), frequently 3-4xs a night, first thing in the morning. But, ..I can also go up to 8 hours during my work day. When I have to go it's immediate and have trouble holding it, especially the closer I get to the toilet. I wear a pantiliner regularly and am thinking of using something a little more absorbant. What kind of a doctor should I see and what are my options?

Hello
Thanks for your query,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have urgency for urination and nocturnal frequency of urination.

This is due to what is called as Over Active Bladder Syndrome.

Please consult qualified Urologist for clinical assessment and further treatment.

You need to take anti muscuranic drugs like Darifenacin once daily to control involuntary contractions of the bladder.

Get your routine urine test done to rule out UTI.
