Which is more effective in deworming a 4yr. old child, Mebendazole or Albendazole? And what is the right dosage of said medicine?

Albendazole is the drug of choice these days for most common deworming.
Recommended dosage for anyone >2yrs is 400mg as a single dose, repeated once after a month.
In cases of longstanding tapeworm infections (commoner in beef/pork eaters), 400mg for three consecutive days is recommended.
In case of Hydatid disease and Neurocysticercosis, the dosage is much higher and for longer duration.
