Have Chronic Acidity Problem With Pain. Frequent Diarrhea. Treated For Herpes. Related?

Hello doctor,

I am 45 years old. I have cronic acidity problem for more than 10 years with severe pain on left side stomach which makes me have diarrhea frequently since one year back. I am being treated by a gastrointerology and taking regular medicines which are of little benefit. I have also been diagnosed herpes simplex in 2005 by a dermatologist which had been treated well. But I don't have the courage to disclose it to my gastrointerology doctors. I want to know if my two diseases are corelated. Kindly advice me whether my treatment will be more beneficial if I disclose to my gastrointerology doctors.
