How Can Continuous Cough, Cold With Vomiting Be Treated?

Hello Doctor , Good morning., my son is 8 months old and he s suffering from cold..my doc prescribed TRIFECT 15ml drops.. but he s having cough and sumtimes vomiting. Is it normal or can i give any other drops for continuous cough . pls advice. thank you

I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns.

His symptoms are caused by the complications of cold.
Trifect syrup can relieve the symptoms but it doesn't treat this condition.
To treat the cold and continuous cough you should give him antibiotic medicines. You can give him Amoxicillin, if isn't allergic to this medicine.

Before you start the treatment, your soon needs the following tests in order to check his condition:
1. Complete blood count.
2. Urine test.
3. Physical examination by a pediatrician.

Contact a pediatrician to discuss about the needed treatment.
