How To Treat The Hard Sore Spot Caused After A Hit?
Hi! I fell about 5-6 weeks ago, hit my head on a large clay pot. It bled some, not much but for several hours. While it healed it tended to ooze lymph. I had a sore spot, no bruising, it took more than a couple weeks for the tenderness to go away. Now I still have a hard ridge where I hit the pot. It doesn't hurt but it is really hard like a bone. Is this fairly common? By the way, it is right where a man's hairline might begin to recede, but the top of my scalp is a bit numb. Strange but maybe fine. I am healthy, 58, female. Thanks.
Possibility of blood clot is high. As per your symptoms it can be either fibrosed or scarred. If there is no pain then nothing to worry. You may apply kelo-cote cream consulting your doctor.
If required you may need to do blood investigation for prognosis and recovery.
Take precaution to avoid infection around hematoma.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
Take care.
