Infant. Purple Spotted Bruise On Head Due To Fall From Bed. No Symptoms Of Any Effects, Normal Behaviour. Time For Bruise To Heal?

Hello. When my son was 6 weeks old, i was changing him and i turned around for a minute and he fell off the bed and hit his head. He cried for a few minutes then was fine after i cuddled him. I haven't told anyone because i feel terrible. He is now 14 weeks old and still has a purple spotted bruise. He is And acts perfectly fine. Smiling, laughing, and hasn't had any problems since then. Will he be okay? Will the bruise go away? When will it go away? Should i tell someone? I don't want to seem like a bad mom cause i never said anything

Hi,

My first advice is Do not feel Guilty!

You did not do it wantonly!

Accidents do happen even though one should take all precautions to avoid them!

Normal bruise by mow should disappear or at least become lighter in colour.

May be what he has is a hemangioma- which you noticed at the gimme of fall!

Get a medical opinion!

Nothing wrong!

God bless
