Is Anti Rabies Vaccination Required After Every Dog Bite?

I have finished my anti rabies shots 1 week ago, then a while ago, a big dog jumped towards my butt so i didn t see if he bit me or not, but there are 2 tiny holes. the dog is really big so i think it s just a scratch from its claws. Do i need to get vaccinated again?

Hi

As per the latest recommendations ,anyone who has a pre or post exposure prophylaxis of rabies vaccine ,and is re exposed ,need not take any boosters if the repeat exposure occurs within three months of previous vaccination.

If three months have elapsed, then you need to take two boosters at day 0 and day 3.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
