Is Celestamine Syrup Effective For Fever In Children?

Hi, my daughter is nearly 5 years of age. Has a fever that rages between 37.5 to 40.3 degrees since yesterday. I alternate between Mybulen Suspension and Ponstel suspension. Could I also use Celestamine Syrup for fever or is it only for allergies? She is sleeping and also has no history of convulsions associated with fever. She did not eat very well today; but does not seem very sick. A Little cough, not really a runny nose but more mucus than normally - it is however not yellowish. Should I take her to the emergency room or should I just keep an eye on her?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Celestamine is anti-allergic syrup and is not meant for reducing fever. Better show her to the doctor as the fever is very high.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Venkata Subrahmanaym Mukkavilli
