Is Eptoin Tablets Recommended To Take For Life Long?

I am 30 years now and I am using eptoin tablets 100mg (2 tablets a day) since I was ten years old.My parents said that I suffered from epilepsy and my doctor consulted me to take it. Do I have to take it for lifetime or I can stop it?If I forget to take it I have dizziness and fell down anywhere.

Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your diagnosis and current medications.

Epilepsy is a chronic disease and requires lifelong medications in some people.

Eptoin (phenytoin) is a good anti-epileptic drug, and if you are free of side effects, you can continue to take it lifelong.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
