Is It Normal To Have Paleness On Knee After Swelling And Bruising Have Reduced Post Injury?

Hi, I recently was riding my snowmobile and hit a ditch going about 15 mph and came to a standstill. After riding a mile home, looked at my knee and it was very tight. The next day had severe bruising all around the medial aspect of the knee and lower leg with a hard, spot slightly paler than the normal skin color. I was able to walk the whole time and never had any limited range of motion. The only pain that's felt is when it is touched and there is slight tightness after I tried running a week later. After a week of treating with PRICE, the swelling and bruising have gone down significantly but that pale area still looks the same and is very hard. Any ideas as to what it could be?

Nephrologist 's  Response
Hello

Thanks for the query

When the bruise heals it the new skin colour is usually lighter than the surrounding skin. If your pain has reduced and there is no limitation to the range of movements then I dont think it is something to worry about. However if you develop numbness over it then it could been the peripheral nerves supplying that area is damaged. Please seek help from a neurologist in that case

I hope I was of help

Regards
