Is There An Alternative To Hysterectomy When You Want More Children?
I am 29 years old and my doctor recommended for me to have a hysterectomy because i have a 9 cm fibroid tumor. I dont want such a serious surgery. I can not take off work that long and i also have 3 children to take care of. Is there any other option for me? The doctor told me the possibility of a reoccurrence is highly likely. i want more children so what should i do???
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. You are 29 years of age, and had 3 children, so for a fibroid of 9cm, the hysterectomy is the correct choice. Now you are thinking of the present problems, but on long run you may have to face the pain abdomen, menorrhagia, hence anemia etc. You may not be in a position to satisfy your work. You may have to take treatment for temporary relief of the weakness to enable the works to do. Not in a position to have the surgery. Don't think that i am frightening you, for no reason. Just it is an advise, you enquire your doctor, elders, etc and take your own decision. What ever i told may not be true with every one. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
