Hi
Welcome to Healthcare Magic Forum
Menstrual pain with heavy bleeding could be due to many conditions , for instance endometriosis. Please ask her to visit a gynaecologist , and undergo an ultrasonography of the abdomen, to see what is wrong inside.
There is no direct co-relation of alcohol with menstrual pain. But PMS (premenstrual syndrome) symptoms may worsen due to alcohol sometimes.

hiii mam,
Dysmenorrhea is the medical term that is adverted to the menstrual cramps. They are the major culprits that results in dull moods and breathe taking pains which occur in the lower region of the stomach.
Most of the females come across this pain prior to the menstrual phase and continues during the menstrual cycle. I can actually tell that there are women who face the unbearable pain. Even during the premenstrual period the altered physical and behavioral change causes more agitation and frustration.
Premenstrual phase known as premenstrual Syndrome usually starts seven to fourteen days prior to the menstrual phase. More than 80% of the women suffer from this problem.
Numerous hormonal changes take place in this phase. These symptoms occur even before the menstrual cycle and during the menstrual cycle. The symptoms like:

* Swollen and tender breast
* Dizziness and Headache
* Cramps
* Nausea and Vomiting
* Weight gain
* Stomach Upset
* Swelling on the face, hands, and ankles
* Irritability, anxiety, depression and mood swings
* Change in appetite,
* Fatigue
* Joint and muscle pain
* Unable to concentrate
* Sweating and Palpitation
* Oily skin, Dry or greasy hair
* Frequent mood changes

No direct relation of red wine with cramp.If Red wine increases cramp,then quit it immediately and take other measures like

4)Carry a bottle of water every where. Drink as much as water you can as water helps in flushing out all the toxins from the body. There are chances that any infection might affect you thus; consuming good amount of water avoids the attack of infection. While going to bed also keep the bottle of water near you.

5)YOGA is one of the most peaceful ways to get rid off the menstrual cramps. The stretches that are carried during yoga treats the abdominal cramps. As well as they are provide amazing relaxation to muscles. It also makes breathing proper due to which body receives good amount of oxygen that helps in proper blood circulation. Good blood circulation on body makes the menstrual cycle.

7)Intake of hot liquids increases the blood flow and relaxes your muscles as and when your pelvic area gets clogged and cramped.

8)˜Running water kills evil™. Water has some amazing properties to heal the pain. Have a hot water bath which is the simplest solution. But additionally you can even add one cup of sea salt with one cup of baking soda to your bath water. This helps in relaxing your muscle pain.
If you are too lethargic to in bathroom for bath then you can just soak a thick cloth in this water and place it on the painful part. It relieves your pain.

9)As your body loses a great amount of energy it is advisable to feed your body with good amount of vitamins and minerals. Vegetables and fruits are flooded with vitamins and the required nutrients hence eat as much as fruits and veggies in your diet. As your body is battling with the intolerable pain it is very much necessary to provide your body with needed weapons to win the battle.
Grab a bowl of fresh green vegetable salad whenever you feel tired and exhausted. Or club some yummy fruits to make a colorful and nutritious fruit salad. Even drink some fresh juice of vegetable or fruits.
