Noticed Bulge Near Belly Button. Became Painful When Taking Snack But Disappeared When Vomited. Cause?

I noticed a bulge near my belly button. Normally it disappears when I'm asleep, then reappears again when I'm in the toilet. A few weeks ago, when I was taking a snack, the bulge suddenly became painful. The pain disappeared when I vomited. This has been happening for 5 days now, with the pain only going away when I vomit. What do I have and why is only vomit helping?
