Noticed Scaly Rash On Scalp & Ear

I have a scaly rash that I have never had before and now I have had it for almost a year. It is between my eyes. One next to my ear and my scalp. I have tried creams lotions exfoliating. Something's make it a little better but nothing clears it. It doesn't really itch.

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

I would keep a possibility of seborrheic dermatitis, which presents as red scaly itchy rash on the face(eyebrows, sides of nose, behind the ear, moustache, chin and beard area etc) as well as greasy yellowish scales on the scalp.

If I was the treating doctor I would have suggested that you use a 2% ketoconazole shampoo for scalp wash at least thrice in a week to keep it well controlled.

Facial involvement, I would suggest that you use a moderately potent topical steroid e.g fluticasone propionate twice daily for a week or 10 days.

regards
