Pain Under Rib, Sweating. Old Age?

I have been having pain under right rib for long time. Feels like something is pressing on rib. Does it mostly at night. I will get to sweating and then get the pain. The sweating will wake me out of a sound sleep. I will get it in daytime too just not as bad at night. Dr. acts like he could care less. I am 69 so guess it's just part of old age?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
May be due to old age ? if, once or twice .
If continuous pain under the rib , then it is a cause of concern.
May be due to pleural effusion or thickened pleura of right side.
As you mentioned that there is something pressing then may be due to liver enlargement.
Consult a physician as physical examination is very important .
X ray and blood with ultrasound will reveals any disorder.
Hope I have answered your question.
If further any question I will help.
Good luck.
