Please Suggest Medicines For Diarrhea

I have had diarrhea for 4 weeks and recently - 2 weeks ago, have started taking co-codamol for a torn tendon. I was expecting this medication to help firm up my stools but no such luck. I go to the toilet 4-5 times a day, worse in the evening. I am about to go on holiday, can I take immodium to help?
