Reason For Pigmentation In Child Skin?

My daughter had a diaper rash about 2 weeks ago it lasted about a week maybe a little over that. Its completely gone but when I give her a bath her where her rash was turns a reddish purple color after about 20 minutes it turns back to normal. What could this be?

There is inflammation at microscopic level.It becomes evident after increased blood supply due to bathing.So continue applying barrier cream over nappy area
