Should I Consult The Doctor For The Fever And Diarrhea In A Five Year Old?

Hi! My five year old daughter had a slight fever on friday night, On saturday night she threw up twice before bed as well as had to use the bathroom and it was very runny, dont know if it is considered diarrhea cause it was only once. She did not throw up sunday but did have no appetite as well as continued to have some loose stools. She has been fine all day today except for right now because she is once again pooping. Should I take her in to her pediatrician?

Hello. Thank you for your question. If your daughter is otherwise well, able to participate in her daily activities, and without fever, then there is no need for a visit to the doctor. The diarrhea may persist for a few more days. However, if the fever returns, or if she is unable to participate in her usual activities, I recommend consulting with your pediatrician.
