Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I have studied your case.

Yes he can take elevator to avoid strain on neck.

If there is no neurological involvement then conservative brace or rest is sufficient
If required you may need x ray of neck.

Later on follow rehabilitation and physiotherapy.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement Dr. Saurabh Gupta's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
For bruise neck muscle give proper rest to neck. He can apply cervical collar for support. It is better to take the elevator for a few days instead of stairs.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
