Small Child, Passes Stools, Red Rashes If Not Cleaned Quickly, Teething. Causes For Symptoms?

I have a 8 months old baby girl, the prob is that whenever my baby passes stool and we are little late to clean it. she gets red rashes on the area. we just moved to , which is very cooler nowadays, my baby is also teething . are these related. we are using candiderma ointment - rasher disappear when we use it but again appears.. there was no such issue when we were in XXXXX. we are using diapers while travelling and cotton nappy the most.

hi there, your baby is getting these rash as you have said due to prolonged period of wetness and also as north India is drier in the winter months the skin is more prone to cracking and infection. Avoid delay in cleaning the child and do try to use moisturisers all ove t the infants body including her buttocks and private parts. Using a moisurized cleaning swab as those commercially available would also help. Do not wipe vigerously with wet cotton or cloth as they denude the tender skin of the baby making it prone to infection.Take care.
