Suggest Medication For Cough And Runny Nose

My 11 mo old son has had a cough for ~5-6 days. He is currently afebrile & has a runny nose (clear-min cloudy). The cough is non-productive & is raspy, wheezy. His MD's office said not to come in unless discharge is green. I just want to avoid any respiratory complications. What are your thoughts about when to see his pediatrician?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
I feel that he is suffering from cold.
Anti histaminic like cetrizine, steam inhalation and local instillation of saline nasal drops will help.
If there is wheeze, high fever, breathlessness, cough with expectoration and symptoms do not regress with above treatment for 3-4 days you have to see the pediatrician.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
Take care
