Suggest Medications For Diarrhea.

I threw up 7 times last night, and have been fighting nausea all day. I had very liquid diarrhea last night and today, except today s was black. I am also achy and have hot and cold flashes. I have not eaten anything, only drank water and Gateraid today and have only urinated once. All liquid intake seems to come out as diarrhea.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history vomiting for 7 times last night, had nausea all day, had liquid diarrhea, black today - Body ache, hot and cold flashes, drank only water and gatarade and urinated only once.
All your history is suggestive of an intestinal infection and I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Send the stool and blood for lab tests.
Get a course of an antibiotic active against intestinal infection, Metronidazole.
Take activated charcoal tablets, probiotics and multivitamins.
Maintain the fluids and electrolytes.
If the stool is black there may be bleeding and you need an upper GI Endoscopy and colonoscopy too to find the cause of black stools also called as malena.
Clinical evaluation and examination by a Doctor and getting admitted if required.
