Suggest Treatment For Heavy Vaginal Bleeding And Uterine Fibroids

Hi, I am 39 years old and recently had an ultra sound scan where i found out i have fibroids. My doctor prescribed me the mini pill which i began taking 20 days ago when my period started but i am still bleeding and it is very heavy. I went back to my doctor yesterday and he wasn't much help and told me i should have the mirena coil fitted or there is nothing else i can do. I am really fed up now and feeling very tired due to bleeding so much. please help.
