Suggest Treatment For Redness In Skin And Nails Of Toes

hi, one day i came home from school and i took my shoes and socks off and on my left foot my little toe and the 2 next to them were red (i initally thought blood), i had a shower and the red came off my toes however, the red-ness still remained in the toe nails themselves. would it be some sort of fungus or could it have been i knocked my toe and it satrted bleeding and the blood has absorbed into the nail prehaps (i dont recall hitting my foot on something with sufficient foece to make my toe bleed)
