What Causes A Burn Mark On Arm Post Surgery For Crohn S Disease?

My niece just had surgery due to Crohn s disease. She is just out of the OR. 7 inch by 3 inch burn like marks on her arm and matching on her thigh. No one seems to have an explanation. Not an allergic reaction. Doctors are scattering. Hope you can help.

Based on the facts of your query, you seem to suffer from-
Burns from the grounding pads of the Elector-cautery.
These burns are from loose contact of the grounding pads of electrical appliances mostly, where the earthing contact with skin is loose which causes sparks generating heat burns at the loose grounding pads with use of mono-polar electro cautery used for surgical hemostasis.
