What Causes Bloating In Abdomen Of An Infant?

I have a 14 month old daughter who has a very hard swollen tummy, she has been sick a couple of times today (just white, like baby sick) although she is still eating and drinking normally. She had her MMR jag 3 weeks agos and a week before that she suffered a viral infection with measle type rash? Nappies seem normal enough, although getting 2 dirty nappies daily, normally only 1. Thank you

Hi,

According to information given, what I can understand is that your baby had distension of abdomen and dirty stools. Your baby can have constipation or gas. See that your baby eats proper meals firstly, having adequate fiber.

I didn't get from history what feeds she is taking. Diet change is one of the important factors you have to look into. Then we can think of malabsorption disorders. Baby has to have stool routine and few other investigations. Kindly consult your pediatrician as it could be nothing or something important.
