What Causes False Positive Pregnancy Test Results?
I had a blood test in August 2012 that said I was Pregnant and scan said no cyesis, 1 week later I had my period for August(19-23) and September(26-30), which I think my cycle is between 35-39 days and that is the last have seen.So I went back today 14 Nov for another test, it says am pregnant but again scan says no cyesis. Also there is an indication of Nodular Uterine Leiomyoma in the wall of my bladder measuring about 15mm x 15mm in dimension, which they said is fibrod but is still a seed, also there is Plevic Inflammatrory Disease. The amazing thing is I have never had sex all my life and am 27. My question now is, is the fibrod and plevic disease the reason why my blood test has been saying positive since August and no sign of Pregnancy whatsoever. Please help me because am confused.
There are many factors that can contribute to menstrual irregularities like stress, medications, birth control, infections, chronic conditions, anemia, etc. So the conditions you have been diagnosed with could very well be the cause for the mesntrual irregularities, but how exactly they are causing a pregnancy test to return positive should be discussed with your treating doctor.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
