What Causes Lacey Rashes On Cheek And Severe Pain In Legs?

Hi-My 4 year old developed a dark red lacey rash on his cheeks 2 weeks ago and it lasted 1 week. I thought it was a reaction to changing soaps. He frequently has these reactions to different children s soaps, but the rash is gone within 2 hours. He also has what we feel are growing pains in both legs at night about once every 2 months. Last night he screamed and writhed in pain for 4 hours with pains in both legs. Today, he has a lacey rash on both arms. Rash is not itchy or raised but under skin. He has an appointment this afternoon, but just thought I d ask your opinion now. Thank You!!

The lacey rash may either be a reaction to some contactant like powder, soap, cream or lotion. It will need only removal of the offending agent. For some time, avoid all these products. Use a hypoallergenic soap.

The pain in the legs is a form of growing pain. Just use ibuprofen syrup as and when it is needed. No other treatment is needed.
