What Causes Swelling Around Eyes And Cheeks After Stopped Taking Prednisone?
I had a severe rash on my face and nose, looked like roseacea, was given prednisone for a week, started with 2 tablets a day and reduced doses every two days. when I stopped, the area around my eyes and uuper cheeks became very puffy and swollen. The tablet really helped, got rid of the rash, but when I stopped the tablet, my face and eyes are ichy and swollen. What else can i do, to get rid of the rash, if I did not want to take the prednisone, as it seems that the swelling is the side effect of this tablet.

The rash is from the underlying allergy. Other medicines that work on allergy but are not as strong as prednisone include benadryl (anti-histamines) possibly decongestants, possibly skin tighteners like witch hazel loton, and probably other allergy medicines such as monteleukast.
