What Causes Symptoms Of Gonococcal Arthiritis After Gonorrhea?
Hello Dr. Grief. I was treated exactly one week ago for gonorrhea/chlamydia with 1gm Azithromycin and 250mg Ceftrixine (misspelled, I apologize) and I am now experiencing increasing symptoms of gonococcal arthiritis in one knee. I'm wondering if there's any way to tell whether this is an ongoing infection that the drugs did not kill or whether its the reactive arthiritis that I have read about. All of my other symptoms of infection have improved.

Was diagnosis of gonococal infection confirmed? If so then choice of drug for treatment is penicilin. Injection penidure 12 can be taken after skin test and management of anaphylaxis is ready in the presence of doctor.Wait for 10 to 20 days after comletion of treatment. If arthritis is related to gonococal infection it should improve.Or else consult skin vd doctor.
